Viele fröhliche Menschen in einer Gruppe, die zusammen tanzen.

Kizomba is a couple dance from Africa. It is considered a harmonious and sensual couple dance and is similar to the Tango Argentino in terms of posture and leadership.

Today, other dance styles (hip hop, tango, zouk, etc.) are also included, so that the dance is becoming ever broader and evolving.

DANCING

Kizomba and Ladystyle

Anyone who has ever come into contact with Kizomba knows that there are no figures per se here, but rather the dance is freely improvised. It is an interaction between leader (the partner who leads) and follower (the partner who lets himself be led). It is an interplay of action and reaction and there is a flow of energy between both parties.

Besides Kizomba I also love to teach Ladystyle (mainly for women). Here I attach great importance to the fact that every woman feels good in her body and can express her femininity through her body.

COURSES

Regular courses are ideal to intensify your Kizomba skills.

The difference to a workshop: We are a fixed course and the level of the individual course participants is similar, i.e. topics can be dealt with in more detail here. I put a lot of emphasis on dance fundamentals like posture, running technique, music, leading and following techniques to strengthen the harmony in the couple. Of course, steps and step combinations are also taught in order to increase the repertoire. I support each individual to dance their own note and personality freely according to their feelings and music. It's about standing by yourself and creating a beautiful, harmonious dance together with your dance partner.

Ladystyle courses are only perfect for womento express more femininity in dance. This is mainly about training and feeling styling elements to take the role of the followers to the next level. A follower has so much more to do than just being led. The feeling and the female energy are decisive for this.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

In individual lessons, I can respond individually to the needs and pace of the participant. Every person is different and unique. I personally learned the most with individual lessons and was able to discuss topics with my teachers that I didn't want to address in a group.

Marianne laughs happily and furtively glances at her participants as she continues to the left.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN THE INDIVIDUAL LESSONS?

What do you think is the best possible result that can happen after a one-on-one lesson? Since every person is individual, every single lesson is also individual. The goal is to improve the dancing skills (leader and/or follower). This can vary greatly depending on the individual or couple. Examples are:

  • Improvement of lead or follow:
    Strengthening sensitivity and clarity

  • improvement in musicality

  • improvement of body movements
and how you feel in your body

  • Learning new steps and
    their precision

  • …. and much more
